Einführung

|
In der Anfangszeit der Motorräder waren Standard- und Rennmotorräder sehr ähnlich. Oftmals wurde unter der Woche mit dem Motorrad zur Arbeit gefahren und am Wochenende, nachdem Licht und andere überflüssige Teile demontiert wurde, mass man sich im sportlichen Wettkampf.
Anfang der zwanziger Jahre wurden auch reine Rennmodelle entwickelt, die zunächst OHV und später OHC Motoren besaßen.
